Government Sign-in by Verified.Me™ is the convenient way of accessing government services with your online banking login information instead of creating and managing a completely separate User ID and password. You can access Government Sign-In by Verified.Me™ by selecting ‘Sign-in Partner Login’ on your CRA login page or any other Government of Canada service website and choosing FIR as your sign-in partner.

Who can use Government Sign-In by Verified.Me™?
If you’re an FIR member and are registered for online banking, then you can use Government Sign-In by Verified.Me™.

Is it safe?
Absolutely. As always, FIR is committed to keeping your confidential information as safe as possible. Your information is protected through the same safeguards and security standards that apply to our online banking. We won’t share any personal or account information. We’re only verifying your authorized access using your online banking credentials.
We don’t know which government service you’re signing in to and the government doesn’t know which sign-in partner you’re using to sign in.

I already have a CRA account. Can I still login using a Sign-In Partner?
You bet! Just follow these steps:
- On the CRA My Account page, click the ‘Continue to Sign-In Partner’ button
- On the next page, click on the FIR logo. This will take you to the FIR login.
- Enter your login number - member number or Member Card number are both acceptable in this field.
- You’ll then enter your password.
- You’ll be asked to answer a random security question.
- You’ll then be directed back to the CRA site.
- You will then be logged into the CRA site and may be asked additional questions to verify your identity.

What if I’ve already used a different sign-in partner to access CRA and want to change my Sign-In Partner to FIR?
No Problem! You can change your Sign-In Partner to FIR from the ‘Continue to Sign-In Partner’ page by clicking ‘Switch My Sign-In Partner and following the instructions. Keep in mind, your CRA account can only be associated to one Sign-In Partner at a time.
